'On The Wings Of Hope' was the title track from our sophomore E.P. It metamorphosed into a song that would characterise the band, and was perhaps our most recognised track. It was also the last song that the band played before its terminus, in our home city of Perth.
Lyrically, it discusses the broad hardships that we all face, and attempts to present optimism, self-determination and strength, as a method and means to overcome.
lyrics
Everywhere, faces I see stare back in despair. Trading places with those faces won't go far; but you must hold on, you don't know what you've got, until it's gone. Without fear, to disappear, you pay the price for your life.
Hopes as high as the mountains, with our face's against the southern wind. I'll grasp inside to stay alive, and face my fears with the will to live.
You must become the change you wish to see in the world. If you want to go far, go together, and blanket the cold. You must become the change you wish to see in the world. If you want to go fast, go alone, but never back up and fold.
Everyday, you have to face the fight to find a way. Nothing's easy that will please me, as I search for truth; and hold on
to everything I've found until I'm gone. And at the end, my life is spent, I'm facing death, with the path I went.
Desolate, this is becoming; and beneath the feet of us, this Earth will shake.

Two impressive vocalists, variable and skilled guitarists and a tight and very powerful rhythm section. That plus the ability to write a song really leaves nothing left to desire here. mourner
Fusing ’90s metalcore, ’00s vaporwave, and ’20s cybergrind, the Texans' debut showcases an unprecedented unholy trinity. Bandcamp New & Notable May 17, 2023

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
